Guest guest
Hi, Couldn't figure out what to do this morning, so I went with an " oldie " that is so old it is new for me. I think this tape came out in the mid-90's. I got it in a trade a few years ago, did it then, and then sort of forgot about it. Anyway, this is a nice moderately paced and moderately challenging step workout. The level I'd say is upper intermediate, both in terms of intensity and in terms of choreography. Actually, working out without AC now, it is hard for me to gauge, b/c I'm always sweating - fortunately, the room where i workout is cooler than the rest of the house, but it definately isn't the same as having AC on full blast. The workout reminds me a bit of Kari's Go, Step for Beginners, except I think this one is more aerobically challenging. Grace also doesn't cue as well as Kari, so there were some times when I missed some things. The choreography isn't boring, not just basic steps, but not so impossible that it is frustrating. Overall, a good one and I'll pull it out again. The workout length is 45 minutes including warm-up and cooldown, so I'm guessing the cardio part is 30 minutes. There are two sections, within each section you " take it from the top " but you don't take the whole thing from the top at the end. The second section is a bit shorter and includes more high impact moves. I'm not sure what other workouts Grace has out - I do have her All the Right Moves workout which is a very nice fusion workout of yoga, Pilates and dance. I know there were rumors some years ago about more workouts from her like this - but I haven't heard anything about them. I skipped the cool down and stretch on my step workout and pulled out Baron's Journey Into Power Level 1. This was a Ross find. It is a 30 minute " flow " series, very typical of Baron, but I have to say that Baron has mellowed (at least in my mind) with age. He didn't seem to chatter too much in this one or say anything really off the wall. He did say " people " a few times, but that was okay. He actually reminded me of Kest in this workout. The pace was nice, too. Slow enough so that I felt that I got some good stretching as well as strength in there. Ross has it for $3 or $4, so it is a good buy! I also did T-Tapp's primary back stretch this morning. Hope everyone has a great day!
