Guest guest
Jen, I do not have 'characteristic' CMT legs, but rather very well developed and shaped legs with muscles. I also have no family history. After my initial diagnosis, every subsequent doctor I saw, each had their own diagnosis for me (this went on from the time I was 16 until I was about 35!) Charcot foot is entirely different than having CMT syndrome. Sounds like your pain specialist is going by the old school textbook definition of CMT. Don't you find it odd that a pain specialist is trying to diagnose you with something? Also, CMT was formerly known as Peroneal Muscular Atrophy. ~ Gretchen
