I do not have 'characteristic' CMT legs, but rather very well developed and

shaped legs with muscles. I also have no family history. After my

initial diagnosis, every subsequent doctor I saw, each had their own

diagnosis for me (this went on from the time I was 16 until I was about

35!)

Charcot foot is entirely different than having CMT syndrome. Sounds

like your pain specialist is going by the old school textbook

definition of CMT. Don't you find it odd that a pain specialist is trying to

diagnose you with something? Also, CMT was formerly known as Peroneal Muscular

Atrophy.
