The week after I graduated someone I never met before said " What a round little head ! " about Dane. I was looking over my should to make sure she was talking to us! It's so nice to know you did the right thing! Can't wait to see the graduation post! Dane's mom DOC Grad
Guest guest
Congrats! So happy to hear your story has a happy ending – it gives me hope for our son. ’s been in his helmet for almost two months and we haven’t seen that much correction yet. I hope he goes through a growth spurt soon. I’ve got to admit that I’m a little frustrated and discouraged. I keep reading about all these little kiddos that are getting correction really fast – just hasn’t been the case with us. Our next ortho appt is a week from this Thursday – hopefully he will have grown some. Pederson Spencer Update Hi All, I've been kind of quiet here lately as everyone has been sick the last couple of weeks at our house. Spencer is doing great!! He received his STARband the day he turned 11mo. and we will go back to the Pediatric Surgeon, Dr. Singhal at Children's Mercy in Kansas City, this Thursday for his final evaluation. Originally, Spencer has moderate to severe plagio with his left posterior region very flat. I would say that he has received about 80% - 90% correction in three months!!! Obviously, we're thrilled. I can't wait to see what the MD says when we see him. A wonderful thing happened this morning. I took him to the barber shop today to get a haircut and I mentioned to the barber that Spencer had been wearing a band to reshape his head. The barber said Spencer's head was perfect. He couldn't see or feel the flat spot. I know that I will always be a member of the " Mommy Head Police " but it felt really good to have someone who obviously sees a lot of heads tell me that Spencer's head was normal. :0) As many other parents have said before - that band is absolutely amazing. It's worth its weight in diamonds and I would do it all again in an instant. Kelli Mommy to Kaitlyn (7 yrs.) and Spencer (13 mo. and soon to be a STARband grad!) Guest guest
Hi Kelli: WOW, soooo very happy to hear the great correction Spencer has already rec'd. That's very impressive how well he's done, esp. given his " older " start and he's been in it just a couple mos.! I'm sure you could've hugged that barber when he told you how great his head looked! Thanks for your great update, please keep us posted on his progress & pending graduation! Guest guest
, I'm so happy to hear Spencer has received some medication help for both the depression and nerve pain. I hope he gets to feeling better about " life " very soon and can go forward with his plans! ~ Gretchen
