MS v CMT

Hi ,

I am not a medical expert, but I can relay to you what my trained nutritionist

said to me.

Apparently there could be similarities in symptoms, for example atrophy,

numbness, etc.

However, the blood tests for MS have a very distinguished " tag " to them. In my

blood tests, she said although she had done research on MS as a part of her

training, and she read all the literature I sent her on CMT and protein/neural

relations, that she was surprised to see absolutely no " tag " in my readings,

which she said is always there for an MS patient.

Anyway, I know there are so many different types of CMT, awareness of doctors

varies, etc - but I thought I would relay this advice that I received. For what

it is worth, I have modified my eating though to resemble an " MS " style diet,

cutting out most (not all - I like to cook too much for that) saturated fats,

and pretty much all dairy too.

Good luck to you and your sister. My thoughts are with you both.

- Donna from London
