Guest guest
To all ers, I have been meaning to post this for several days. Knowing I had some very special guests coming, last week I really kicked up my housecleaning and got much done. Now, I noticed something that I haven't " felt " before - and that is I had increased energy for my housecleaning efforts (especially vaccuming). Since back surgery, I had to learn a different way to vaccum. Rob, my PT, showed me how to make the vaccum do the work - and not my back. It has been hard to remember how to do that, but for some reason last week, I discovered I was vaccuming the way he showed me by memory - I didn't have to " think " about it. The way is easy - it involves using the arms more. In aquatics I have also built up arm muscle and increased overall endurance from training, and while I was cleaning, I noticed how " easy " everything was. Of course I split up different rooms into different days and alternated dusting with vaccuming and polishing, but there definitely was an increased strength factor and I can only attribute that to my exercise program. And, as a side note, while housecleaning is not my forte, I certainly had a better attitude about doing it last week too! ~ Gretchen
