Guest guest
Jim, I've got all the books you referenced and am well familiar with them. I also have Darius Dinshah's book but was not aware of his view on incandescent light. After the newer ones you discuss in your post, do you think you will have any chance of discussing these with Dinshah? I'd be very interested in hearing his opinion on these also! I am not at all familiar with the metal halide and enhanced sodium lights. Are these available at lighting stores or only where hydroponic supplies are sold? Doesn't Tom Harrelson also have the FIR lamps? I saw recently (on some forgotten list source), that his website was shut down. Your reply with all the light info is much appreciated! Guest guest
Sharon, I simply called up the Dinshah society. Darius Dinshah usually answers. And, in the process of joining for $6 I asked questions and a conversation ensued. If you have read those books, then you have a good enough foundation to converse with him. Our conversations were about a light source for a photochrome projector, but the principle is the same. He gave reasons why other sources were worse for the body than incandescent. I doubt Tom Harrelson will sell FIR lamps as the wholesaler in Canada only sells them in lots of 6, which is more front money than Tom could ever invest in the past. Ed is a good man too. The metal halides and sodium bulbs are available through stores that sell hydroponic supplies or lighting contractors. Search on hydroponic & hortilux & look for a site that has a lot of info. I don't recall where I read mine. jim Sharon wrote: > > Jim, > > I've got all the books you referenced and am well familiar with them.
