Guest guest
LDN for the immunological Se-IgA issue, impossible to say if it helps. To feed his gut, -gut is using not only glutamine, but also, SCFA - vinegar / acetic acid, caprylic acid, butyric acid and glucose.... Hi Stuart, I'm not sure it would be useful, but there is a file in the FILES section discussing viruses that might provide you with some information you don't already have. It was intended to be a starting point for people who are concerned about viruses for their kids. You'll find it full of links that may be of use to you. > > > > We're also trying to give him general immune system boosters - IP6, > Siberean Ginseng and echinacea, but these seem to turn him into a > real handful as well - again aggressive, stroppy etc etc. There is a list in the viral file of immune boosters. It is a partial list, but some of them may not have that bad effect on your child. Here is a link to an article about Th1/Th2 that lists things helpful and not helpful for the immune system: http://www.diagnose- me.com/cond/C104791.html It is simple and relatively useful, or at least it was to me. > > In addition, we also know he has herpes simplex virus and are > awaiting yet another medicin - Vancomycin? to address this. If I were in your position, knowing that a herpes virus is implicated, I would suggest you consider Valtrex. A number of parents have seen good things. Although the file focuses on the natural antivirals for the most part, there is a link to the valtrex group. I am fairly ignorant of the Rx's but isn't Vanco an antibiotic? If it is, I'm not sure how it might work on a virus. Hope this helps, Anita > > Thanks, > > Stuart >
Guest guest
Hi Stuart Know how you feel! Not easy topics and not easy to balance biomedical needs with tutors wanting to be able to work with child. This is what I have done: Immune boost - LDN - seeing some nice results after rough beginning, bought colostrum but still sitting in cupboard. Am hoping that as address viral issues immune sytem will strengthen. Anti Virals - joined MB12valtrex group - lots of good info and guidance here. Have valtrex (also in cupboard!!) but have started with Virastop - an anti viral enzyme. Good web site http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionviruses.htm this link should take you direct to the viral section. Am also starting working on getting some natural antivirals in - Olive leaf extract and monolaurin. Seems is best if you use many different antivirals as they have different methods of attacking/ work on different virus types. Ph levels - butyric acid (short chain fatty acids) good here but issue is getting it into them! It stinks. Have done little more to address this. www.autismanswer.com - another source good info on these topics. Hope helps - do let me know when you find out more! I am no expert. Guest guest
There has been some discussion on this list re Liverlife (a liver support supplement) - lots of people are reporting very good results with it, it is supposed to balance urine ph levels as well. If you scroll down the list you'll find a couple of links to UK suppliers and also the bioray list, which has the print-out protocol in the file section. LL also has a few ingredients in it that directly help the immune system, reishi being one of them - again, I posted a link the other day to an online supplier that sells reishi powders for a very good price (that is usually a very rare and pricey stuff) If you decide to give LL a try you will probably need some ph strips as well, they are widely available but I found the ones selling on ebay to have the best prices... Someone here mentioned LDN for immune support, not sure if it helped our son's immune system (and no one knows that for sure, there is a small informal study going on at present, they should have some answers by the end of June), but it has been THE BEST intervention for us so far. Incredible gains all around, sadly it does not work for all kids but if you can get hold of it it is definitely worth a try. Have you tried mb12 so far? It does help the immune system, amongst other things... Best of luck, Natasa >> Hi all,> > I'm struggling to come up with any useful, simple info on any of the > following - would appreciate some advice from anyone who's genned up > or been through any or all of these.> > As we gradually address one set of problems after another, we are > now onto Immune deficiency and viral infection issues.> > We know from stool tests that my sons digestive sig A levels are low > enough to be unmeasurable.
