With cedar closets we were told to sand them lightly to restore their scent. Any similar custom with these furnishings? I will be able to answer it soon. I have two myrtle lamps that need to be resanded and refinished. They take on such a gorgeous dark brown color when polished up. The myrtle flasks I have are lighter brown, but very beautiful with sloping pointed caps, everything rounded slightly, all edges softened. They seem to contain a cologne of myrtle, which is highly condensed due to age/evaporation. If I find more flasks I would be happy to trade or sell a few to the group. Ever since I found this group I have been so happy, so nourished by all this great information and sharing. I have special plants to harvest violet flowers and extract their scent via enfleourage this spring. I imagine that first dibs will go to group members and family. Almost one in the same, eh. Take care, Jess Ring PS - the next myrtle vial I find is yours, Mar, if you want to trade.
