Kathy, Cecile, you're not ladies after my own nose. I understand and

work with V & L, but I'm much more the top and floral heart type. Takes

all kinds to make the perfumery world go round, though, and I'm glad to

see you two found a common ground. I've yet to make a successful perfume

with vetiver, so the next few months will see me experimenting with ways

to make it " sheer " and floaty, otherwise, it truly makes me a bit ill!

Ditto, Cecile, we're all noses on the same journey.

New-to-me aromatic delighted me...

Pink lotus wax... GOSH, I can't wait till can get some in so I

can buy some. I'm going to have to hoard it for myself, but ohhhhhh

that's one that surprised me because the absolute is very heavy for me.

The wax. I was in heaven.. <dancing and singing> " I'm in heaven "

okay. now I digress. I guess I'll have to ransack Chris's house soon

so I can get her to pony up with the samples again... YUM my nose is

certainly ready...

I also found the lovely blue lotus concrete from Samara and a

deep, rich flouve absolute.

The coffe flower, though, must be experienced. It is one of the

best florals I have ever smelled.

Hi Mar,

Galangal can be purchased from fine culinary spice suppliers and

tinctured.

We get fresh galangal at two grocery stores here. One is a Chinese market.

You might check in your area.

cheers
