Guest guest
I just figured out the picture portion of the site. It is definitely in the nightshade family-- this includes tobacco, tomatoes, peppers, and deadly nightshade. Some are quite poisonous; others aren't, obviously. I can't tell what it is from the photo. You might check the Sunset Western Garden Book for descriptions. Look under Solanum. It might be Jerusalem cherry, Solanum pseudocapsicum. jennifer , Thanks. This is a great start. I looked under Jerusalem Cherry and solanum on the web. I was unable to find an exact match though. The fruit is small and the flowers look more potato-like in shape, though they have a bluish center. I think I might have to chock this one up as possibly poisonous and should be admired from a far. Is the Sunset Western Garden Book on the web? " Easy reading is damn hard writing.
