Here is an interesting article about the greening of corporate

America, and how we all fit in to that with the new *standards* being

created.

Companies highlighted include Burts Bees....Tom's of Maine and

Burts Bees have Hit Hay and are in a store next to the gallery.... I would

think a massive marketing is going on. Janita

did you read the article janita?

clorox bought them and their sales went up to $164 million way past

$23 million... From 2000 to 2007...

Analysts say there is far more growth to be had by it and its

competitors as consumers keep gravitating toward products that

promise organic and environmental benefits.

That's US baby and we need some love after that hard reality article

Anya posted from yesterday..I was pretty amazed and stunned by the

length that Big Pharma is willing to go to try to stamp down the

organic movement, all in the name of *watching out for the consumer*...

so i was glad to see this article..

em & ex=1199941200 & en=7e72cb58466ce210 & ei=5087%0A

about the ways in which big biz is TRYING to learn how to *green*

their biz's instead of quashing the competition, they're buying them

up~and making lemonade with their brands...

smart....

Well, no WONDER I had to stop using those product lines. No WONDER

they all were so chock full of stinky synth garbage that made my eyes

burn and, I kid you not, attracted fruit flies to swarm around my hair

(Burt's Bees conditioner). Oh -- and I read several years ago that

Dr. Hulda tested Tom's toothpaste and found benzene in it. I

quit using it right then.

My husband and I tried in vain to find a conditioner for his wild hair

last weekend. We were in the " health food " section of a large chain

store, and could not find any product that didn't have either

synthetic fragrances, parabens and propyls, or all of the above and

more.

Funny -- making the greening of America prosperous and fun... by

taking the " natural " out of the recipes and replacing it with the same

chemical garbage that's in the mainstream products that " green " folk

are trying to get away from.

Well, on that note...

Cheers!

Andrine
