Again, I was wrong and apologize to the Group. > > Most humbly yours, > > Mark Certainly no need for an apology, , and I discovered the audio link in the process of trying to find pronunciation marks that I might cut/paste to the group, so it's a win-win for all of us with my discovery of this site. I'm sure that a native Tagalog would sound much sexier than the Webster audio version - Which seques me into another annual thing I do . . . I Choose my favorite new music discovery for the year. Since we've done scents, maybe we might enjoy sharing new music we've found in 2007. I found an eclectic E. LA band called Ozomatli last year. They've been together for 12 years and have won 2 grammys, and I can't believe I haven't found them before this. They are ambassadors of international goodwill; their music a reflection of their ethic and cultural makeup which includes Jewish, Chicano, Black, Japanese and certainly the essence of LA life . . . One critic referred to them as " the middle east in the heart of East LA " . One of the songs on their new album (Don't Mess with the Dragon) even features a little Teuben throat singing. You can listen to 4 of the songs from the album below, and I will eat my cd player if you don't all get the urge to vacate your computer chairs and start dancing. These guys are all excellent, versatile musicians, most do vocals with several soloists in the group, there are 9 members altogether, with 4 percussionists and it's difficult to keep up with who is playing which instrument unless you see them in concert. Magnolia Soul from the album (sorry, not on the myspace collection here) is a wonderful tribute to New Orleans, a hip-hop/Salsa spiritual. Enjoy this great funk/Salsa/Latin/Hip-Hop band, and if you get a chance, go see them in concert; they are electric as well as eclectic. Channel 101 on Direct TV sometimes carries a concert they did in Austin - http://www.myspace.com/ozomatli And, to share another favorite (bumper sticker this time) I found this year - F.E.A.R.
