Clostridium and probiotic strain used in ReadingUni study

Hi, just found out from the professor that the L Plantarium strain they

used in the study (the one which kids did well on) was not the one that

is commercially available. So if any of you were going to order the

Quest probiotic that was mentioned here, it is actually NOT the same one

as used in the study.

Will post as soon as/if find out more on possibly getting hold of the

'real' one.

Hi again,

Sorry, ignore my earlier post just now. Should have read all the

posts before replying! When I spoke with Gordon Gibson at a

conference several years ago in the planning stages of this trial, I

got a different impression.

Thanks for chasing this one down Natasha, I'd be very interested to

hear what you find out.
