Andrine's reply:

Hello Jess,

Anyway, I was referring to aged sandalwood and other commonly used

wood essential oils. They seem to mellow and fill out and become more

well-rounded and rich over time. (as with some wines and some

women..) (That was partly for when he's back online =: D )

Cheers!

Andrine

Hi Jess

Andrines right .... the rule of the thumb is that the morer resinous the

matter the better it will age.... I have some muhuhu oil now over 12 years old

which is just gawjus.... and also 2 different aged great top quality

sandalwood... one agmarked about 8 years or older and is rich rounded and very

beautiful and equally good younger one bought from Salaam but has all the

beauty too. check my blog about this last year sometime... so its kinda good to

enjoy both .... because in blending depending where it takes you is what type

you choose...... so don't be afraid to store those resins... cool and dark

cupboards are good.... over in the US you all have the heat thing alot more

than we have over here...but you all have wonderful ways of sorting that out....

Sorry I have been a bit quiet.... managed to catch a virus which makes the

head very thick and no energy.... plus I am headlong into the project at

last....sourcing and sorting... but still here.

Every good wish, Janita

Dear Janita,

I am so sorry to hear your are feeling sick, my friend. I have been

inundated with work here - distilled 8 batches of spruce over the

last few days - and now I'm exhausted. I was super happy to find

that the plug trays of Tuscan Blue Rosemary I started this fall

disn't actually die! They are all alive, all 250 of them!! This

means I can treansplant them in the spring and get them in the ground

early summer. I also managed to obtain an order of " Violet

Intrigue " lavender plants. Violet Intrigue is a patented lavender

used for EO production. Supplies were limited - the oil is supposed

to be marvelous - I guess we will find out in a few years...yaaay!

I hope you feel better soon Janita - I'll be sending off your package

in the next few days.

Take Care,

Jess Ring
