Guest guest
hmmm, I guess you are perhaps right that less folks make resolutions at New Year's, and probably also yes that folks often say it isn't worth it, because the resolutions get too often quickly broken. which of course leads to a sense of failure. sigh. I am very glad that New Year's Resolutions are working so well for you! Congratulations! I do however think that for me perhaps nowadays that I have more challenges, the once-a-year look at how I am doing, though probably still useful, has gotten a bit changed. Sometimes for me the 'simple' goals of changing sometimes take forever, while the harder ones sometimes (though rarely) happen quickly. I guess I am kind of attempting to set new goals nowadays at the times when that seems useful for me, eg when I am feeling stronger, or when I find I have an additonal challenge that needs addressing (and maybe means a former goal isn't going to be met, at least not as I had thought). Last year at New Year's, for instance, I was quite solidly on my path of doing supplements faithfully. Somewhere along the line, that got interrupted, so a former 'easy' task now looks momentous and has become a new goal, or 'resolution' if you will, for quite a while now. I also don't feel like the TABs (Temporarily Able Bodied) whose life may be at least for now reasonably predictable, so making a once a year resolution also seems less helpful for me, at least for now. However, it WAS fun, way back when, the swapping of stories and the building of a new futures in our plans. I remember. One way or another, we'll make it a GREAT year, ANYway!! Right? Meanwhile keep up that great work and focus and discipline. super! Jean resolutions.....? I've noticed that more & more people aren't making new year resolutions for one reason or another. The main one being reason for complaint 'They never stick!'. Well, who's at fault is that? I find that making a few, do-able resolutions to be inspiring and helps to keep me motivated to keep allowing me to better myself in my life.
