Guest guest
I haven't used DORE, but it is my understanding (fromcomments on the internet-one from an ADD forum) thatDORE was modelled after Dr. Belgau's LearningBreakthrough program. http://www.balametrics.com/http://www.learningbreakthrough.comI have a friend with a learning center who uses theLearning Breakthrough program and thinks highly of it.Is isn't a "miracle cure" but it does help lots ofissues, such as visual tracking, bilateralintegration, etc. Dr. Belgau, a behaviouraloptometrist, put the program together, and it can beused by parents or administered in clinics. Ofcourse, it's a lot cheaper if you buy the programyourself and do it at home. The Balametrics program (learning breakthrough) wasthe basis for SOI's school program; Bridges Learning. However, the Bridges program is an "abridged" version(not Dr. Belgau's idea)with a few "extras", and thefeedback I've read on Bridges is that it isn't aseffective as Balametrics. I don't know how DOREcompares to either.BTW, this is not an endorsement or advertisement. I've just spent the last number of years researchingthis kind of stuff, and comparing results. > I have not tried it yet, but I recently had both my > kids evaluated by an > excellent team of neurologists who specialize in > learning disabilities. > They recommended the DORE method for my son.
