Guest guest Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 I know this sounds dumb but is all yeast clostridia? We used Nystatin for an age, then yeast aid and recently just sacc boulardii and probiotics. We speak to Anju again on Monday 16th so we'll ask her then. I think I also hoped that NCD might help with gut but perhaps that's an ask too far! Tom has had some big melt downs at school this week which I think are constipation and pain with yeast added for good measure. > > Same here Steph, cannot take our eye off his gut for a nanno second, and > like Tom he isn't regressing in any kind of intellectual or what I call " lost in > space " way, he keeps the skills he has mastered, but is just dreadful along > side them, aggression, OCD etc, but still with us. > Have been reading a lot this last week on Candida and it's so amazing > really to think it can be responsible for so many behaviours, things had been > going so well with s gut for so long now I had all but forgotton the impact > of yeast on him, and how quickly it can take hold. > Really good to see Tom is doing so well, three and a half months is no time > at all really is it? > What were you doing before growing minds other than biomed? > Vicky > Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest guest Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 Do you mean signing or actions that he associates with certain words? TOm definitely needs prompts on some words but others are really confident. > > HI Steph, > > couldn't access words until we taught him signs to use with the words - there was no stopping him from then on - he now makes up his own. Guest guest Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 What does Colazal actually do? We have a telephone consult with Dr U and she might prescribe it. I think the one thing that needs to be more robust is our gut/yeast protocol. Feels like it's on a knife- edge currently. > > > > > > Same here Steph, cannot take our eye off his gut for a nanno > > second, and > > > like Tom he isn't regressing in any kind of intellectual or what I > > call " lost in > > > space " way, he keeps the skills he has mastered, but is just > > dreadful along > > > side them, aggression, OCD etc, but still with us. > > > Have been reading a lot this last week on Candida and it's so > > amazing > > > really to think it can be responsible for so many behaviours, > > things had been > > > going so well with s gut for so long now I had all but > > forgotton the impact > > > of yeast on him, and how quickly it can take hold. > > > Really good to see Tom is doing so well, three and a half months > > is no time > > > at all really is it? > > > What were you doing before growing minds other than biomed? > > > Vicky > > > > > > > > Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest guest Posted October 11, 2006 Report Share Posted October 11, 2006 Me too please, i would be very interested to read this as many believe that interstitial Cystitis is caused by Oxalate crystals and as my son has problems with these it might be something worth considering for him Tia NIKKI xxx > > > > > > >> > > > > > > Same here Steph, cannot take our eye off his gut for a > nanno> > > > > > second, and> > > > > > > like Tom he isn't regressing in any kind of intellectual > or> > > > what I> > > > > > call "lost in> > > > > > > space" way, he keeps the skills he has mastered, but is > just> > > > > > dreadful along> > > > > > > side them, aggression, OCD etc, but still with us.> > > > > > > Have been reading a lot this last week on Candida and > it's so> > > > > > amazing> > > > > > > really to think it can be responsible for so many > behaviours,> > > > > > things had been> > > > > > > going so well with s gut for so long now I had all > but> > > > > > forgotton the impact> > > > > > > of yeast on him, and how quickly it can take hold.> > > > > > > Really good to see Tom is doing so well, three and a half> > > > months> > > > > > is no time> > > > > > > at all really is it?> > > > > > > What were you doing before growing minds other than > biomed?> > > > > > > Vicky> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > >> > > >> > > >> > >> > > > > > -----------------------------------------------------------------> -------> > >> > > No virus found in this incoming message.> > > Checked by AVG Free Edition.> > > Version: 7.1.407 / Virus Database: 268.13.1/466 - Release Date: > 07/10/2006> > >> >> Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
