essences from all over the world, some of which are hard to find and very

unusual (artichoke essential oil, anyone? how about yuzu peel?) they also have a

blending bar, books, diffusers, also a lovely staff. directions: 1 or 9 train to

the christopher street stop, or the B,C,D,F, E, or V to the West 4th St stop.

open 12-6 today (sunday) and 12-8 monday.

on the non-perfumery tip: the whitney museum of american art has an incredible

retrospective of kara walker's work called " my complement, my enemy, my

oppressor, my love " ...sure to inspire an explosive perfume! they're at 945

madison ave at 77th st. directions: 6 train to 77th st. unfortunately they're

closed on mondays, but open today 11-6.
