Hi,

Lactobacillus plantarum 299v, the strain identified as being capable

of staying in the intestine by Stig Bengmark of Sweden (way back when)

and used to make a drink for TPN in hospitals, is also available from

Quest. It is grown on a soy base; the original was grown on oats.

We've used the Quest version, but not noticed any great benefits,

possibly because we didn't give enough.
