OT: my mother is healing beautifully

Thanks for all the kind wishes and phone calls. She's made a remarkable

recovery! At 88, I was very afraid the surgery, fall, infection and

general depression, all the factors were getting the best of her. Her

physical therapist got her on a chair-exercise program, she's walking

much better, eating more, looks good and sounds great, robust and

feisty, even.

The home remodeling and bureaucratic nightmare that helped bring her

recovery into being took a lot out of me, so I'll still be rather absent

from the group for awhile, but I'm checking in and reading stuff, so I'm

still here in the background.
