Guest guest
I use artisans. I am very pleased with it. I took advantage of a sale but keep looking for those, no after 'scent' of alcohol and I've cut some of mine with water and still had a great throw to it. look at snowdrift farms for that one. Other than that, your options are oil or polysorbates with water and preservatives or perfumers and the other alcohol.......I didn't like how vodka did and we can't sell that anyway, I do however use vodka for homemade disenfectant with eo's. I've tried the other alcohols and hands down in MY opinion (we all got em) its the best to go with thus far unless something has come out about it that I haven't become aware of yet. evie

It's not quite as effective as 191 proof especially with very heavy absolutes, but it has a pleasant smell and is not denatured (and it's better than nothing!). You can call liquor stores and ask where you might be able to find it. If you happen to live close to a state line, you may be able to find it or higher proof in a different state. I live in Michigan near the Indiana and Ohio borders. Michigan and Ohio prohibit 190 proof, but Indiana does not. Otherwise, I am very happy with Alchemical Solutions 190 proof organic grape alcohol, which I had shipped to my door. I don't know if Michigan would have a problem with that or not, but I'm not too concerned about it since it's for personal perfumes only.
