Guest guest
Hi, I've been reading the posts on enfleurage and vegetable fats. I work at Whole Foods and we have two brands of non-hydrogenated vegetable shortening(I believe they are both basically palm oil). Spectrum Naturals makes a vegetable shortening. I believe that is the blue and white tub that someone mentioned. Earth balance also makes a shortening, as well as a " buttery " spread(which I think is heaven on earth). By the way, Andrine, I too love virgin coconut oil on toast, with a pinch of salt-YUM!! Its also incredible for your hair, I don't use conditioner anymore. --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now. It's great on rice with lentil sprouts too; with a little dash of Bragg's Aminos... Boy, am I sounding like a crunchy granola or what? Oh well... Yum. Thanks for the hair tip. My hair's really fine, so I'm not sure if it'll work, but I'll sure give it a go anyway. Cheers! Andrine

Andrine> Hi Andrine, I love VCO! I also use it for half of the butter when I make coconut cake, along with coconut milk for the liquid, with marshmallowlike 7-minute frosting with coconut flakes. It's cocolicious! Yes, its awsome with hot basmati rice. I actually like it in hot cocoa too! LOL! My hair is pretty thick, but I use a bare minimum on my hands, enough so you can feel it but not see any shine, and work it into my hair. My hair is like butta!!! And yes, you sound extra crunchy!! LOL! --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.

I just had to comment on that . It IS heaven on earth. Sorry - this has nothing to do actually with enfleurage, but just wanted to throw in how really good Earth Balance butter spread is - it is really better than real butter and I used to be the pickiest person about butter - had to be the real stuff and had to be fresh! I can't be without it (Earth Balance) now. Ann annrn@... Wingsets Aromatherapy (www.wingsets.com) ....and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.
