Guest guest
Hello All: I just wanted to share a couple of things with you people who share my obsession. : ) A few months ago, I went blended together vetiver, ylang ylang, litsea cubeba and a few other things, from a limited set of resources and a desire to stay out of my comfort zones of citruses grasses (although I can't help what I like, as eveidenced by my choices). The blend was added to jojoba oil and made into a solid perfume...where it was pretty unsatisfactory. Vetiver was all I smelled. For some reason, I had it in my purse and someone asked what I have been up to so I pulled out my wares - and this one smell fabulous. It has a honey / vanilla richness and the May CHang gives it a little " pop! " to keep it from being overly heavy and narcotic. It's not a perfume by MP standards, I know - it's like a cookie in a shop filled with three-tier wedding cakes - but hey! I'm happy with my little cookie. Thing two: I just received some rose damascena and jasmine absolutes in the mail. I've never worked with such solid substances before, so I'm a little intimidated (I don't want to waste a bit), but so excited. Any advice (here or off list) would be appreciated. Wishing everyone well, Cecile Pomegranate, Lotus and Plum
