Guest guest
I received this email, and I think we have some people on here from Canada, and I was wondering what your views were on this. I think we're getting a lot of "double-speak" down here in the US. A short but poignant independent film on government sponsored healthcare systems. Everyone who plans to vote for our new President in 2008 NEEDS to see this. Regardless of the person for whom they would vote. Please forward this to everyone you can think of as soon as you can. http://www.freemarketcure.com/brainsurgery.php Take Care, B. in ILLINOIS
Guest guest
Thank you for sharing this. I have heard about the same situations in the UK. But I still back a National Health Care system in the USA. Health care costs have sky rocketed here. Its nearly to the point that you almost have to be a multimillionaire to afford it. As far as people waiting to see Dr, and get procedures done. When ever I make an appointment to see the neurologist there is at the very least a 4 month waiting period. The same goes for any other specialist I have had to see no matter how urgent. Guest guest
One needs to ask if the example given is the exception or the rule? Here in the US of A with Insurance, it took me 6 months to find out I didn't have lung cancer. But they still don't know what is causing massive inflammation[that looked like cancer on the CT scans] in my lungs and it has now been 17 months. And even with Insurance, the co-pays are draining me every month.... I have to pick and choose what gets tested and treated... Re: A Short Course On Brain Surgery Worth Watching... Guest guest
I don't think Hillary was "bought" off. The lobbyists just had too much influence and Hillary didn't know how to play the game...amongst other stumbling blocks put in her way. But since the majority of Bankruptcys are brought on by excessive medical bills.. It is time to do something. , I am so sorry you are having so much trouble...I don't suppose you can afford another move... believe me, I know how that feels... Re: A Short Course On Brain Surgery Worth Watching... I "think" I support a National Health Care System. When I lived down between Dallas/Fort Worth, I never had a wait time to see any doctor or specialist and when I had an appt I was always seen within 15 minutes of my appt time....and I'm not kidding. Up here in IL, at my family doctor you wait 2 - 3 hours, in fact, they now let you call and they give you a later time to be there because they overbook so much and I guess people were complaining. The 2 specialists I've seen, I got right in, right on time. But I'm paying a fortune for insurance I can't afford to be paying on SSD. The only thing that scares me about universal health care is they say in the countries that have it, everyone pays like 50% taxes. If they did that do us on SSD, at least all of us single ones who didn't have family who could afford to take them in, we'd all have to get an apartment together somewhere!!!!! I'm not informed enough to know if what I wrote is exactly true, I don't think they're going to fix the problem anyway.........they've been promising for over 10 years.......back when Bill Clinton was Pres, Hillary was on her soapbox, and then she got paid off by big time medical companies to stop, so she did. And here we sit!!!!!Sue <sweetsueohio2002 > wrote: Thank you for sharing this. I have heard about the same situations in the UK. But I still back a National Health Care system in the USA.
