Hi all this is a long post

Before I start I'd like to say how shocked and deeply saddened we

are by the loss of Dr Rimland the Grandfather of autism.

A brief history of :

Three years ago we started the biomed journey by removing gluten and

dairy with positive results.

Last year s diet consisted of mostly meat buckwheat bread

cellery sticks tahini and all the low phenol and low salicalite

vegies. Although he lost all the stimms linking to phenols and sals

he started developing other problems. He was flicking his fingers

infront of his eyes SWALLOWING AIR (this one was a major problem his

ABA therapists had to monitor and graph it so we could try to link

it to a food) he was stimming to calcium, unable to put on weight,

unable to absorb high sulphur foods, walking like a drunk, had the

gait stance. We also introduced vitamin A around May that year and

removed acidophilus (also helps break oxalate)after an OAT test said

to remove that type of bacteria.

After Kaz mentioning the low oxalate diet we started to look into

it and realised that most of b's foods were high oxalate. We

reevaluated his diet added alotmore b6 and magnesium citrate then

most of his problems disapeared we had a huge oxalate dump and

things got better.

After being low oxalate for a few weeks we notice problems with

promotor glutathione and meat ie swallowing air again. According to

Owens (trying low oxalates group moderator and speaker at

DAN!! conferences) The body can make oxalate from glycine (contained

in glutathione and promotor) and from hydroxyproline (in meat). So

we removed glutathione got promotor compounded without the glycine

and limited his meat. Things went well with the swallowing air

issue gone but his speach didn't thrive like it first did with

promotor. So we re-evaluated and added in the promotor with glycine

once a week and speach quality improved but the air swallowing was

back with a bit of a gait stance again.

Five weeks ago we decided to try out the vitamin k2 issue. We gave

him glutathione cream to do a before and after test and the next

day he was MAJORLY SWALLOWING AIR and walking abit wonky ABIT SPACEY

ETC. So we started first with VSL:#3 an extremely high potent

probiotic gave him promotor with glycine and meat 2 out of 3 meals

and reduced his vitamin A IT TOOK 3 DAYS OF THIS BEFORE HE STARTED

PRODUCING OXALATE ISSUES WOW!!!!!!! The next day we took it even a

step further by completely removing vitamin A,chaning VSL#3 to high

doses of lactobac to check it wasn't the acidophilus of VSL#3 that

was stopping the oxalate issue for him, giving him promotor with

glycine and meat in 2 out of 3 meals and that night our final test

of glutathione cream.....THE NEXT DAY WAS AMAZING... THE GLUTATHIONE

CREAM HAD BEEN ABSORBED AND WORKED NO AIR SWALLOWING. He woke up

went straight out to the kitchen for Breakfast sat down and tried to

strap[ his chair in and said goommmmm after I said " Good Morning " to

him. I rang the school and asked them to look out for his air

swallowing ( attends woodbury ABA school and is closely

monitored) they said there was absolutely none and he was very very

switched on.

Sorry for the long post BUT YES OUR THEORY IS THAT VITAMIN K2 HAS

EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE OXALATE ISSUE will still have

vitamin A but at night time 12 HOURS AFTER THE PROBIOTICS I hope

this information helps someone else

WE ARE NOW FINALLY ABLE TO DO TD-DMPS NOW THAT HE TOLLERATES GLYCINE

THANK GOD....
