Say speaking of Ylang ylang, what is the technical difference

between " extra " and " complete " ?

Katlyn

Hi hi Katlyn and All

Ylang Ylang Extra is the first extraction and more concentrated . Then comes

the following grades of 1, 2 and 3. so it would be extra, first, second and

third in that order.. Extra is the most expensive and can be judged by its

ester content. But this can be manipulated. The Grades are arrived by

fractionating the distillation process. Extra for example is derived say 2

hours after the distillation process, then one two and three follow in

successional times.

Complete Ylang-Ylang should be the un- interrupted water and steam

distillation of Ylang Ylang flowers. It also could mean a combination of other

varieties of Ylang flowers.
