Hi everyone -

Loving all the posts!  It's great to hear from everyone.

I have a small magnolia tree in my back yard and it has four blooms on it about

to open.  I am going to take today and work on a magnolia doppleganger.  I have

been smelling every bloom I've had over the last year or so since I got the

little tree.  I got to a new bloom yesterday morning just as it opened and I got

this gorgeous, amazing floral hit that was nearly crystalline (that was the word

that came to mind, can't define it in a floral sense).  My take on magnolia is

ylang ylang, very small amount of jasmine grand, and a touch of lemon.  I'm

going to start with that and see how it goes.

Does anyone else have magnolia trees?  any ideas?

Thanks -

Elise

Hi Elise:

Good to " see " you again, now that I am back!

Did you ever get any reply to this? I am doing a little look-see through the

files on Magnolia and loved your " crystalline " description. On a side note, a

co-wrote and performed a song with an electronic musician named Neil Ollivierra,

and the song was called " Crystalline " !

I'd love to hear about your backyard blooms, and how your doppleganger/tribute

came out.

Hope you are well,

Alison
