Hi all,

Has anyone had any sucess in tincturing Wisteria and Linden Blossom?

I have tinctured both in sweet almond oil because it smelled terrible

in alcohol...terrible!

Would love to know because the flower has a beautiful scent and I

would hope to tincture again next spring!

Hi Maggie

I would dilute the tincture way down and split into different percentages. Say A

3%, 5%, 10% to start with, let it marry for a while and then do a small patch

test on your skin leaving it on for at least 12 hours to see if any irritation

develops (the ideal time is 24 hours). Start with the lowest one and work your

way up. If you react early then that % is still way too strong so then its an

exercise of diluting the dilution to make sure it is skin/allergy safe.

With dilution the aroma could surprise you!

Hope that helps
