hi kerry !

i ask everyone who says they are 'in their zone' .... what zone

are you measuring?

my HRM (polar F4) will allow me to specify what range of heart rates

i want to measure.... like, i can have it tell me how long i was at

60%-70% of max heart rate, or 75-90% or whatever i want, really.

so what do you have yours set to measure? do you want to know how

long you were in the 'fat burning zone' or the 'high intensity

zone', or what? ive ended up not using this feature because i dont

know what to do with it. i think that right now it is set to

measure anything over 65% of max heart rate, which is kind of goofy

because pretty much any workout (except for, say, stretching or mere

bicep curls or something like that) will bring my heart rate up

to/over that level, so i dont see the point.

Good question. The zone is between 130 and below 150, I believe on my

HRM. I have the Polar A5, it's pretty basic and won't tell me how

long I've been in each zone. I understand what you are saying, I'm

using it as a tool to see how hard I'm working, maybe not the proper

way to use it as I can look at the calorie burn, but I still like to

see how long I'm in the " zone " .

Call me crazy, I just like to keep track of all the numbers.
