Guest guest
I tried tincturing some virgin coconut oil. The oil was liquid since it is summertime, I combined it with 190 proof alcohol in a 1:1 ratio. I shook it daily and let it combine for several days. I was curious about how the tincture had progressed, and figured if I put it in the freezer the coconut oil would solidify and separate from the alcohol. After I moved it to the fridge I noticed that the mixture was still combined, now white, and the alcohol had not separated as I had anticipated. I let it sit out on the counter now 3/4 is opaque and white, and 1/4 is clear alcohol. How do I separate the rest....a filter? tia,
