Guest guest
Hi everyone, My name is Cecil and I am new to the group. I am a 23 year old stay at home mom of 4 year old twin boys, Christian and Zackary, who will be turning five in January. Zackary has had the periodic fevers at least since he was two years old. It's usually a month apart everytime, although when he was younger, he sometimes skipped them completely. Now, I am keeping record of it much better, and his pediatrician is finally labeling him with . He always has the swollen lymph nodes in his neck when he has an episode. Recently the boys started school, and I am concerned b/c since then his fever returned after TWO WEEKS!! This has never happened before. I live in ton, South Carolina, so if anyone nearby would like to share advice with me I would appreciate it. I feel helpless that I can't do anything for him when he is fevering....tylenol doesn't bring the fever down anymore, and hopefully the motrin will keep working. Thanks for letting me join the group!! Any info about this mysterious condition is great!! Guest guest
Hi. My name is Maureen and I am a new member. I have a daughter, Sara who is 19 months old and has been fevering for about a year (I can't recall before that). We recently switched doctors and it was a blessing. Our old dr. never mentioned anything other than her fevers being a virus. Oh well, that is all in the past. We have been to see a rheumatologist once and she did blood work when she was well and wants to do it again when she has a fever. So we have no idea what she will or will not be diagnosed with. All of her symptoms add up to but who knows. I hope we don't have to go through this too much longer before we can start helping Sara. Someone mentioned sleeping in a past post. Just this past time Sara didn't sleep which is not like her. She has always been a great sleeper. I hope it doesn't happen again this time. It made the next day tough on her and tough on me too since I have two other kids (a three year old and Sara's twin sister). I will keep you all updates on any new situations. Sara should be due for her next fever around the 23rd of this month. Maureen Mom to Sara 19months ?? Rockaway, NJ
Guest guest
We've had about two dozen new members in the past few weeks, and because it's such a large group, a newbie can feel a bit lost. It helps to write a brief intro about yourself - who knows, you might find someone lives in your area, or has similar interests, and that can be the basis of a new friendship.
