update on roses here in my area

well I am still harvesting roses! Unbelievable and still buds on the bushes. My

tables and drying room are still full of rose petals in various stages of

drying....

We have had a lot of rain .. torrential rain which has hindered harvesting as

the petals get too sodden and many have gone slimy on the bush.. Luckily there

has been strong wind too ... so I wait and collect at the last possible

minute...

I went away last week for a few intensive and emotional few days and despite

leaving instructions and ~DH doing best he could ... I lost a bit by not keeping

petals fluffed up ....

I think this has been one of the longest seasons for a long while..
