Guest guest
Here I am, not much in the mood for playing but would love some friendly conversation. Yesterday was awful. Left the house at 6:30 AM to go to Mass General Hospital and didn't get home till 8:00 PM. Luckily Steve was with me. First I had an appointment in Ultrasound to ultrasound my leg where fluid is collecting at a high fate following my surgery in November- took facia out of leg to use as hernia repair in abdomen. I am the first in Massachusetts. Then on to CT scan to check on how a malignant kidney tumor which was zapped by microwaves last summer is doing-hopefully not doing anything. Then back to ultrasound to have a French Drain placed, so now I have a tube coming out of my leg feeding a bag strapped to my leg that fills up with peritoneal fluid- 2 weeks in skirts I guess. Really looks bad in pants. Then on to the orthopedic surgeon who did my knee replacement in September for check up. But I mentioned how painful my hip is so I went on to X-ray for 2 1/2 hours would you believe? Computers malfunctioning so couldn't print the x-rays after an 1 1/2 hour wait to be seen. Then back to the surgeon to be told that the hip was a disaster-no cartridge at all from my rheumatoid arthritis so now scheduled for hip replacement April 10th. Wish this list took attachments and stationery- I have great stuff to share! Guest guest
Wow, ! What a terribly long day that must have been for you! That's great that at least Steve could be with you. Hope you guys could talk and laugh a bit during the ordeal. You are the first in Massachusetts to have the fascia from your leg used to repair your hernia or the first to collect fluid at the site at such a high rate? What do they think is happening? When do you go back in to have it checked? Hope they can't find any sign of that kidney tumor. When do they tell you the results? I'm glad you scheduled your hip replacement; wish you could do it sooner. That must be very painful. Do any of your current meds help it? How did the doc think the new knee is doing? How is it feeling these days? > Here I am, not much in the mood for playing but would love some friendly > conversation. > Yesterday was awful. Guest guest
What a terrible day . Here's hoping that the rest of the week will be better. Try to rest up after all that exertion. I guess if it wasn't for going to the doctors we would have much extra curriculum activity... LOL Be Blessed Becky
