Welcome, Mindy!

Sorry to hear that you've been having so much trouble with your body and

that you aren't quite sure what's causing it. Unfortunately, that's a

very common spot to be in.

I would say that, from your description, you could very well have some

type of arthritis or rheumatic condition, but a smart, caring physician

will be the best person to help you figure out exactly what's going on

with you. Be sure to describe your symptoms in detail and give as

accurate a chronology of events as you can (you may even want to write

it down so you don't forget to tell your doc something important).

Popping and cracking of the joints (often referred to as " crepitus " )

doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it is more likely to be of

concern if it is associated with pain, too.

As far as advice for dealing with it goes, it's tough to say until you

know a little better what the problem is or could be. Until then, try

not to panic. Attempt to remain optimistic. You're doing the best thing

in going to see a physician about it.

Good luck and let us know what your appointment brings.
