Guest guest
Hi , If you're proposing a total body workout with only one set per body part, that would be a good way to ease into the weight training considering the fibromyalgia. Just make sure that you never lift weights on two consecutive days. Your body still needs a full 48 hours to recover between strength training sessions. Also, since you would be eliminating the lighter warm-up sets. You might want to do a 5-10 minute cardio warm-up prior to weights, just to get your muscles warm before hitting the weights. If you're doing a total body weight routine, you still wouldn't want to do it more than 2-3 days a week. Like do weights on M/W/F or do weights on T/TH. Make the rest cardio days. Also play it by how you're feeling. You may find that you need more rest days or longer recovery times between workouts than what you originally plan out on paper. You want to get stronger, not run yourself into the ground. I like your quote. The one I saw this morning that really stuck with me was: " I AM - the two most powerful words in the world, for whatever we put after them becomes our reality. Guest guest
This is what my hubs does. Not because of pain but because it's saves him time. I split my workouts into 4 days/week, lower body, shoulders/abs, back/biceps, chest/triceps. I find I'm not as sore that way and I have 3 days left to make up for a missed workout. I'm sure you'll find a routine that works just right for you. Deb > > Hi all, > > Trying so hard to get up & running with BFL. This > is C1W3D1 for me at 5'3 " .
