Guest guest
Thanks for the info . The one medication is named (on the bottle anyway) Hydroxchlor 200mg tab. I was told it is the generic of planquinel (I don't remember if that is the right way to spell it). I hadn't realized how often I have been having stomach problems until Larry said something to me about it when we went out to eat. I wasn't able to finish the meal and then he told me that he's been noticing that a lot with me lately. That I'm not eating as much and that my stomach always bothers me afterwards. That started the red flags for me. I do intend to call my doctor tomorrow and talk to him about this. Larry's tests went better than we expected. He was told he would be doing the nuclear stress test, and that would be a tough one on him. However, they did something else where he was given an IV to raise his heart beat. They told him that with the drugs he's on that he could run on the tread mill forever and wouldn't get his heart rate up high enough. We won't know anything until Feb. 15 when he sees the doctor again, unless there is a serious problem. Take care. P linda@...
Guest guest
I don't know enough about this, but have heard that sometimes the stomach pain can come from having too little stomach acid. I've had minor bouts of this from meds, hiatal hernia and what my doc said was too little stomach acid. He put me on an enzyme by that has hcl among other things and over time it seemed to help. But I'm sure others on the list can give you more clear and specific info. my best to you, Tina Chapek <teenee65@...> wrote: I apologize for another off topic question, but I am in pain and ya'll are really wise here. My stomach has been really bothering me recently and though I have gastritis (hiatal hernia), it was a different type of burning. I take natural Cortisol for my adrenals and have been for a year now. I think I have the burning narrowed down to the Cortisol. Though I have been taking it on an empty stomach for a year now, all of a sudden it is making my stomach burn bad now. I tried taking it with food twice today, though it was a couple pieces of apple the first time and a salad the second time, perhaps that wasn't enough. Would anyone know what I could do to help my stomach stop burning so that I can keep taking the Cortisol until I hear back from my doctor? Some suggest milk but I am lactose intolerant. Are there products that can heal the stomach damage that this type of natural supplement can cause? Grateful for you all, Tina __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Thank you Buddy. I'll look into getting those. I have a call into my natural Dr. but they are closed today so I will have to make do until Monday. On hand, I have pure aloe gel, L Glutamine powder and slippery elm. I just took some aloe and SE - do you think it would help if I kept taking these until I can get something else? Wondering if whey helps with this type of thing. I think my order for that and inulin is due in today. Again, thank you for your time. Guest guest
Aloe is a great help in stomach irritation. Tina Chapek <teenee65@...> wrote: Thank you Buddy. I'll look into getting those. Guest guest
Yes, Cortef can cause stomach burning/pain. I would take it after a meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner), not just a bit of apple or salad. Guest guest
Any dangers of developing kidney problems with doses in that range? Guest guest
No, there's no chance of kidney issues with undenatured whey. Unlike other protein digestion, whey requires almost no digestion and does not produce appreciable nitrogen loading on the kidneys.
