Guest guest
When I go walking in scary places...some places in San Francisco at night are really scary...I carry a baseball bat with me. (I hear Jessi laughing at this one) I do! No one is going to mess with a person with a baseball bat in their hands. (unless they want to wake up with a home run goosegg on their head) It sounds cruel, but just like those sensors in stores, it is mainly for show. If I don't know who is at the door, I grab the bat. I scared the heck out of a salesman once...more uses than one I guess! I don't recommend carrying a baseball bat into the airport, because the M-16s are scarier. -- Re: Safety for Women my job takes me a lot of places, when I drive I have a can of hair spray on the seat next to me, it they get hit in the eye with this I am told by the instructor it causes much pain and get out of there even if you run him down. Also a good bite can make a person release you,, then run screaming Anne~~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~~ The Being Sick CommunityMessage Archives and Digest Attachment Pictures:-/messagesChat:- Scheduled Daily Chats at /chatBookmarks:-Add a website URL you have found useful./linksPersonal Complaints or problems:-Please contact a moderator email: -owner Subscription Details:-1) Individual email - means that every email sent to the list you receive.2) Daily Digest - sends you 25 messages in one single email for you to browse. Guest guest
You're welcome, Sweetie. I thought the one about sitting in the bushes waiting for help when your car broke down was a good one. ~Rainy Re: [ ] Safety for Women > Hi Rainy, > Thank you for sending this out. Guest guest
You're welcome. This is a good one for us to refresh our memories with on a regular basis. Like how good water is for us! This one had tips in it that I hadn't heard of before, like sitting in the bushes rather than in your car when it breaks down. That makes sense to me. ~Rainy rainysu@... ----- Original Message ----- > Great article Rainy! Guest guest
Hello to you, I want you to know I printed this out for each one of my daughters and instructed them to pass it around to their friends. I am now sending it to my friends two daughters. I think we should all pass this around especially if we have yound daughters on the road. Cell phones are great, not just for safety issues but I can get my daughters anytime I want them. Even if I feel like I just want to bug them, which I do. HeHe. Great note and much appreciated, Hugs, Lynn ---------- > From: Rainy <rainysu@...> > > Subject: Re: [ ] Safety for Women > Date: Friday, April 05, 2002 1:08 AM > > You're welcome, Sweetie.
