Hi ,

I'm sorry to hear you are having so many health issues right now. In

reading your email, it occurred to me I had taken carafate before, and not

paid that much for it. So, I found it at Costco and the generic price is

$4.99. I'm not sure if it's the same one you've been using, but figured it'

s worth looking at. I know I'm paying about $135 a month for prescriptions

now, and try to save on any I can.

[ ] scope

Hi Guys,

I had the scope on Tuesday. It kind of knocked me down a little.

Good

news and bad news. Good new there is no scar tissue and everything is

healing. But there is way too much bile in the pouch (stomach). If it is

not controlled I will get an ulcer. The medicine carafate is so expensive

70.00 a bottle but I have to take it. I didn't expect to feel so bad after

the scope.

Saw the primary about the termination from worker compensation and he

is

going to call the rheumy. He doesn;t know if I still have the carpal

tunnel or not but there is something wrong with my neck. I am so worried

about all that is going on I can't sleep. I even lost two more pounds and

I thought I was stabilizing. I can't believe one person could feel so bad.

Hope I will know more on Monday. I did send for copies of the EMG'S I had

done.

Hope everyone is feeling well.

Oh Lynn. I'm so glad you don't have scar tissue on top of everything else.

Sorry about the bad news with the excess bile and your weight loss.

I keep you in my daily prayers and hope this nightmare ends for you soon. I

know how bad you feel with so much to deal with.

hugs,

Hi Kathy,

I was glad to see your son is going with you on the IME. You should

always have someone with you. They try to do a lot, I have even have them

hurt me. I had a friend that happened to too. So make sure someone is

with you as a witness.

Hi a,

How are you feeling? Our weather is so strange. One day cold next

spring. I love the warmer days the sun feels good. I am okay the scope

just knocked me on my butt for a few days. I didn't expect that, the

doctor told me it wouldn't happen. I think the weight loss is from not

being able to eat all week. I really think on the whole my weight has

stabilized. Eating is hard and I don't feel well a lot of the time after I

eat but I am dealing with it. What has me so upset is the wc thing. The

doctor told me, I will not be able to work. I was thinking if I loss my

income maybe I could work at something. He was very negative about this

plus this is just what wc would like to see me do. Social security is

taking so long but at least there is suppose to be a caseworker on it.

However I am believing nothing until it is on paper. I am waiting for the

EMG test that I took a few years ago. I realize they are old but at least

I have something in my hands when I see these new doctors. I know they

will probably want to rerun the test. This has been such a hard seven

years and now that wc wants to blame everything on the RA. I had the neck

injury long before I had RA. I was told that the injury may have triggered

the RA but that can't be proven. I never heard of carpal tunnel just going

away on its own. Especially since my was caused from the neck problem. Oh

well I have so much on my mind and then on top of everything this stomach

thing. I stopped by were I used to work and they didn't know me when I

walked in. I was so upset, once I spoke they knew me but what a shock. I

know I have lost weight but this was upsetting.

Anyway I hope you have a good day. Rain coming that won't be good for any

of us. How you have a nice holiday. I am having my family over for dinner

and egg hunt and dying with my granddaughter. You have all this to look

forward too.

Hugs,

Lynn,

It's so difficult to know what to say to you about all of your problems.

Please know I care though. I am sad to think that you are so worried

that you can't sleep.

I'm happy the scope is over with and there is no scar tissue. Sorry that

it set you back, but at least you didn't wind up in the hospital. I hope

the Carafate can help you. Did the doctor have any theories as to why

there is so much bile?

On the WC and SS issues: I think you need a better lawyer. This stuff

has been going on way too long and it doesn't sound like your lawyer is

getting the job done. Do you know anyone in your area who has had

success with a different lawyer? What about your doctors? Could they

recommend an attorney for you? Surely they understand that all of this

worry is absolutely no good for you.

Many lawyers offer a free, short initial consultation. You could just

get a feel for whether someone could help you more and faster. Your

current lawyer is very slow to return your calls and these issues are

years long now. I know it is a huge effort to switch lawyers and it

would take lots of energy to track someone else down, but it may be

worth it. Maybe your network of friends and family know of someone

better. Don't forget to ask your physicians, too.

It's very upsetting that nothing is getting done. And I don't know how

anyone could expect you to work.

I read your note to a. I'm sorry that you were upset by the fact

that your former coworkers didn't recognize you. I'm sure that threw

you. Maybe you could include " before " and " after " photos in your file

for SS.

I'm thinking of you,

Hi . I'm doing ok thanks. The weather is really wacky, but I am

looking forward to summer. I'm glad you feel your diet is getting better.

I just wish WC and SS would stop playing games. WC can try all they want to

blame everything on

RA. but your medical records will reflect that the RA didn't start until

long after your

CT and neck injury. I know the stress is tough. Hang in there .

Hopefully

it will get settled soon. Maybe has the right idea to get a consult.

Hi ,

It has been a long time, how are you doing?? Hope things are well for you

and your kids.

The primary told me there is so much bile because it is coming back up

instead of going down. I didn't get to talk to the specialist on tuesday

when she came in I was still out of it. I don't see her for 6 weeks.

I am angry at my lawyer, I also feel he has let this drag out far too

long. The problem is I have been with him for 7 years and owe him a lot of

money. Plus he is entitled to 20% of any settlement. I just can't afford

to leave him, I don't want to think what he would charge. Than I would

have to pay another lawyer. As angry as I am with him, he has been kind to

me. He is very honest but I want this over with. I feel he didn't keep on

top of the ss. He should have known that it was going all over the place.

But I have never been involved with a lawyer before so I don't know what

other ones do. I just keep praying, plus I ask him if there is anything I

can do to speed this up and he said no.

Thank you for your advise you are always so helpful. I appreciate it, it

is just such a difficult time for me. If I thought I could hold down a job

I would give it a try. But the pain and fatigue are so bad, I just don't

know.

Hope you and the kids have a nice holiday. I think of you often.

Kathy,

He should be in the room with you, if it is possible. You need a witness.

They try to get you to raise your arms or bend or move around more than

you are able too. They will try to force your arms to move more than they

can, just stupid stuff. It had been my experience they are going to lie no

matter what. That is what they get paid to do. Don't worry too much just

be sure not to go alone. Remember no matter how this doctor acts he is NOT

your friend.

Hi a,

I hope you are right what a terrible time this is. , had very good

advice but I am in debt to this lawyer. I can't afford another one.

Sometime ago I did talk to a lawyer from a company that holds an insurance

policy for me. I actually forgot about this but he said everything that

could be done for ss was being done. I find fault with my attorney for not

ending the wc situation sooner. I believe he could have but his theory is

to let them come to us. Why should we go to them and I don't agree with

that at this time. It has gone on far too long and I am so worried about

the outcome. I don't know what I will do if I loss my income. I am trying

so hard to trust God but it is so hard.

Hope you have a nice holiday,

Hi,

I didn't know till yesterday but the price I paid was for two bottles.

The druggist was short a bottle and I didn't know it. But it is still

expensive and the reason is I can only take the liquid. The GI specialist

wants me to have as few pills as possible. I guess the liquid cost a lot

more plus it taste terrible but it is better than an ulcer. Thank you for

your help. Hope you day is going well.

What a horrible situation to be in. I don't know much about the procedures and

legalities, but 7 years sounds so wrong. I would hate to think what would

happen

if you lost your income. I can understand WC dragging their feet for so many

years, but not SS. I've never heard of SS taking 7 years. It's a bad situation

because you can't fire your lawyer! Since he doesn't get anything until you do,

I'd think he'd be anxious to end this case too. If you have an imcompetant

lawyer, you have no recourse? Maybe it wouldn't hurt to just talk to another

lawyer, one that specializes in wc and ss. At least you would know if you have

any alternatives.

I know it's hard to keep your faith when things are so down, but this is the

time

to rely the most on your faith.

Hi a,

My attorney doesn't get paid until I do so you would think he would end

this, but he hasn't. I am sorry it took me awhile to get back to your

message. I was cleaning the other day and yesterday I was so tired I

didn't do too much. I hate when that happens but it is something we all

have to deal with. I don't know whatelse I can do to end this situation

but pray. I am now with the help of my daughter in laws dad looking for

new doctors for the neck and hand injury. He offered to help with this

whole thing and I am taking him up on it.

I am looking forward to this week end with my granddaughters. This will

be you next year with your new grandchild. It is great and a lot of fun.

Somehow you find the energy to do the things you want when it involves

these beautiful grandchildren. Thanks for your note, hope you and

are well today.

Hugs,

Lynn

Lynn,

Yes, you'd think he's want to get paid for all the years of work. Don't worry

about being slow to respond.

My track record for responding hasn't been to great lately. With the weather

being so nice, I've been

trying to get outside more. I've been enjoying reading real books instead of

the internet! I try to spend

at least an hour a day outside in the fresh air and sunshine. I didn't get

nearly as depressed this winter

as I have in the past, and I think spending time outside helps.

I'm glad you have help finding a doctor. I hope it helps your case.

Enjoy your granddaughters! Easter isn't the same without little ones around.

My only granddchild is so

far away, but in a few months I'll have another one very close to home. I'm

looking forward to spoiling them

and sending them home :)

Hope you day is painfree.

hugs,

Hi a,

I didn't mean to take so long to answer this. I am just a little tired

from Easter, plus eating has been such a problem. I have just made up my

mind that it is going to take the year and that is all there is too it.

The reglan they want me to take was causing me terrible stomach pains. So

I stopped it and restarted it a few days later but at a much lower dose. I

have gradually been increasing it, so far its okay.

My daughter in laws dad is looking for an ortho doctor for me. Actually

he has one and is talking to him for me. So I hope we are on the move with

this. I may have a ss hearing date, I should know more in a couple of

days. My attorney is getting everything ready for the hearing.

Hope you and are well and not in too much pain. Have a good day.

Lynn,

I hope you're feeling better. Have you tried any of the soup recipes that I

posted?

The creamy broccoli-cauliflower is really good and a pot should last you a few

days.

I posted the cream of carrot today, but that one isn't my favorite since carrots

aren't my

favorite. But it isn't bad and it's very nourishing. I've been trying different

creamy

vegetable soups to try to increase my consumption of veggies and hopefully pass

the

recipes on to the group. I made cream of asparagus and it was really good. The

best part

was that I made it out of the bottoms of the asparagus that I usually throw

away. I'm

not a fan of asparagus, but this soup was very good!

I'm glad to hear that you've accepted the fact that it will take a year to get

your digestive

system back in shape. The doctors expected this, but I know it's hard to

accept. Now

that you've accepted it, I hope you can find ways to cope with it. Even if it

means eating

baby food, you have to keep up your nourishment or you will not have the

strength

for your body to fight.

Good luck with your ortho search.

hugs,

a

Hi a,

I haven't tried you soups yet. I can't do dairy, I have always had a

problems and since the surgery it is much worse. But I think I will try

the carrot soup since it is made with the rice milk. I use rice milk, you

told me about it sometime ago and its not bad. I love veggies so carrots

and asparagus are great for me. I just bought a lot of asparagus and froze

it for the future. I have been doing a lot of that lately, I cook the

veggie until they are like baby food. Do you use the same recipe for the

asparagus soup that you use for the carrot soup. I am going to try these.

I have a ss hearing, it is on May 15th. So I need a lot of prayers and

candles. Mydaughter in laws dad called the ortho doctor. I called the

doctor and they were waiting for my phone call and knew everything about

me.

The only think that is bothering me is I wanted to put this through my own

personnel insurance and they told me that cannot be done. It is illegal

plus my insurance won't pay for it, but I know I have put other stuff

through this way. I called my attorney but we all know he won't call back.

Guess I will have to go this route, if it is illegal I don't think there

is much I can do. I would have rathered my insurance paid for this doctor.

I don't want to give wc the upper hand. I will find out when my

appointment is on Monday. When Joni's dad does this for me things move

along very quickly so I expect the appointment will be soon, hope so

anyway.

A little cold to be sitting out these couple of days. I long for just

nice warm weather to sit in the sun and read. The sun always feels good on

the bones. Hope you are feeling well today. Thanks for the carrot recipe,

I will give it a try. Soup seems to agree with me.

Lynn
