Good for you Tess. I didn't do so well over the week-end, fri. was my b-day

and I instructed everyone, no cake but I went out for brkfst, lunch and

dinner with my kids and my sweetie. I am meeting a friend tomorrow for a

belated b-day lunch but I swear I'm havin salad and decaf coffee or tea.

keep up the good work and I think you are right in bein up front and forward

with you pt after all, both parties need to know what the other wants to

achieve from these treatments.

Dear Rainy & Friends...I took my measurement at the waist, since I don't

have a scale. I don't know if I've lost any weight, but I am being

pretty faithful to my food plan and drinking of water.

I am a real lover of diet soda, but I have heard that it causes you to

retain water. Anyone know more details? So, I've cut back my diet pop

consumption by about 75%, and I do feel less bloated at least. I'm

drinking more tea.

Tuesday I start physical therapy for the herniated disk and foot drop.

The CT scan also showed severe arthritis of the spine. I am looking

forward to perhaps some inspiration and sitting exercise techniques from

the pt. I am a little scared that the pt will take 1 look at me and

roll his eyes...I am so overweight. I think it would help if I

addressed that concern with him right away. Any thoughts?

I pray for you all every day and I am grateful to be with you. A

Woo~Hoo, a! This is so exciting! Way to go! I am so proud of you! I am

so proud of ALL of you! As a group I knew we could do this! Keep up the

great work!

Has anyone found any tricks while doing this that has helped them? Like

meditation or certain exercises? A trick I learned years ago was every time

you wanted to eat, go brush your teeth instead. Because then you wouldn't

want to eat since you just brushed them.

When I'm looking for something to eat I grab an apple. I had stopped

eating apples and forgot how great they are! Raw carrots and celery stuffed

with peanut butter are also very satisfying.
