Guest guest
Hello fellow friends, I have a favor to ask. When you are replying to someone else's post could you quote it. I get answers to things and don't know what in the world is being answered. :-/ Fibro Fog! ~Rainy rainysu@...
Guest guest
- my suggestion to you would be to sit down and think about what is doing now, and what you would like for him to be able to do a year from now. Be specific!! We always bring a list of skills that we would like Jimmy to have by the end of the school year to our " IEP Prep " meeting......and include it in our parent's report at the CSE Meeting. Soemtimes stuff gets translated into " goal bank jargon " - but at least then there's something in his file that states things in plain English. I am trying to remember some of the things we put on in kindergarten - I think they included things like toilet training (actually, it was " achieving dryness " , which was accomplished by putting him on a schedule!), recognizing letters A-Z in lower and upper case, learning to read sight words and recognizing them in simple books, counting from 1-10, recognizing these numbers in print, and being able to do simple addition and subtraction using manipulatives, learning shapes, learning the concepts of less, more, etc...., following classroom routines, organizing his materials, and a rash of speech, OT and PT goals. Hope this helps.......
