Guest guest
Tess, I've read a lot of reports that the artificial sweeteners in diet sodas are very toxic with reports of it causing multiple sclerosis, lupus and brain tumors. Then I read reports that it is safe. There is a lot of contraversy over it's safety, so for that reason, it may be wise to reconsider using it. There are just to many reports of adverse reactions, but our FDA doesn't have to keep track of them because aspartame is considered a food not a drug. I'm sending you links for both the sites that say it's toxic and the sites that say it's safe. It's your choice, but I just want to give you some incentive to drink something more healthy than soda. Anything that takes the paint off of a car isn't something I want to put in my stomach! http://www.aspartame.com/ http://www.nexusmagazine.com/Aspartame.html http://www.mercola.com/article/aspartame/index.htm http://www.holisticmed.com/aspartame/ American Diabetes position on aspartame http://www.mercola.com/article/aspartame/index.htm http://www.msfacts.org/aspart.htm http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/tt/1998/sep16/aspartame.html Physical therapists are trained to help all sizes and shapes that we come in. A good therapist won't make you feel bad about your weight. Keep faithful to your diet program and try not to worry about what anyone thinks. It is not easy to exercise when your spine is in such bad shape. I hope your therapist can help you find exercises! hugs, a 3/17/02 1:11:51 PM, Tess_St_Pierre@... wrote: > > > Date: Sun, 17 Mar 2002 13:11:51 -0800 (PST) > > From: Tess_St_Pierre@... > Subject:Re: [ ] Weight Club Check-In #1 > > > > > Dear Rainy & Friends...I took my measurement at the waist, since I don't > have a scale. Guest guest
Tess, we are all with you in thoughts and prayers. I've always heard that there are better days ahead and that is what I hope for you. With a positive attitude and a determination you can't lose, right? Hang in there and be tough. And know the power of prayer. Hugs from Indy Judy
