Guest guest
9grams of carbs from the cocoa 1grams of carbs from the 4 egg whites 1/2 gram from the vanilla 1/4 gram from the cream of tartar That's 10.75, leaving a balance to-be-accounted for of about 18 We tend to think that Splenda has 0 calories and 0 carbs. Not quite true. From the website: Has no calories (Less than 5) and no carbohydrates (less than 1 gram) per serving. Contains 96 calories per cup A serving is defined as 1 tsp. This recipe has a full cup - which is 96 calories, and I'm sure they come from carbs. Assuming that all of the calories are from carbs, 96/4 = 24 grams of carbs. Remember - the packaging doesn't need to indicate fractional amounts, and they can add up! Hope that 'helps' n At 05:24 AM 2/16/2006, you wrote: >Where are the carbs coming from that they are so high? > >Barbara
Guest guest
It does, though I'm not sure I'd assume anything about splenda I didn't read that it was a whole cup of splenda. I had wondered if we could make this kind of cookie...I might try them one day, though I'd still keep them as a treat, since they are taking up a meals worth of carbs with out giving me any fiber or nutrients.
