Guest guest
IT'LL BE O.K. Judy I've been on Remicade for 2 years now and yes, it does increase your chances of infection, BUT I have found I can still be around those little germ carriers and not get sick. All you have to do is ask: Are ya sick? Is anyone in the family sick? That has worked for me all year and I haven't gotten my usual case of bronchitis. Or even a cold. I did have a slight sore throat. But that was nothing. Whenever you need someone to come to your home to install cable, for example, tell them on the phone that if they are sick, to please send someone else. You are on medications that can land you in the hospital if you get sick. They won't, but lay it on thick with them. If they arrive and you can see they are sick, say sorry and send them away and explain why and go call the company and tell them why, etc. And set a new appt. Or just stay away from the person, open all the windows, and as soon as they leave, LYSOL everything they touched. I did that when the two guys came to install my cable modem. I was TICKED! The one doing the set-up on my computer was coughing and rubbing his nose then putting his hands all over my keyboard. Grrrrr. I opened my window and sat in front of it, and as soon as he was gone, I had the Lysol out. It worked. So don't fret! You don't need to lock yourself inside a plastic bubble. Assuming the Remicade works for you, oh my, you will be in heaven! It is definitely ALL worth it! If you have questions, ask me anything about Remicade. ~Rainy Re: [ ] Happy Birthday Judy!! > Thank you all I had a good day and to think I just wanted to bypass that day. > Went to my rheumy this am, he is going to start the ball rolling and get me > on the remicade.
