Guest guest
Dear Sheri...you are so right that we can build our own new families. I know my family of origin really does love me the best they know how...so I have gradually come to learn not to expect what will not be given. It's sad, but saves my sanity. I have many other people who are able to accept me more fully, and I'm grateful. Sheri I don't think I've mentioned that my 4 children are adopted! (They are 28, 26, 24 & 22.) The three youngest have varying degrees of disability from very mild (my youngest), to moderate (my middle daughter who still lives with me), to more complex (my son has a moderate learning disability, mild cp, and a mental illness.) My oldest daughter struggles with depression at times. God bless you for loving your daughter and cheering her on in this difficult world. I'm with you, dear Sheri. Hugs & Love & Prayers...
