Hello, a!

Glad is back now. Wonder how many messages are swirling around

out there in cyberspace, never to make it to their destination.

I wholeheartedly agree that every person can benefit from an examination

of her or his diet and eliminating offending and/or not-so-nutritious

food. Dairy, although I love it, does not agree with me. I feel MUCH

better not having it in my diet every day as I used to. Of course, I

cheat sometimes, but in very small quantities. What would life be

without a bit of ice cream now and then?

In regards to the treadmill: I've tried several different machines over

the last couple of years at the health club. I also have a Nordic Trak

ski machine at home which I like quite a bit. I highly recommend an

elliptical trainer or a skier over a treadmill. They are much different

workouts. Good quality elliptical trainers or cross-country ski machines

are very gentle and smooth and most offer a choice of either a total

body workout or legs only. The pounding that you put your hips and legs

through on the treadmill doesn't happen with the elliptical or ski

machine. Maybe you could give a couple a try at a fitness store and see

how they feel. I'm always sad to hear that walking is so painful for

you.
