Guest guest
June, I'm on a bread machine list and many people there only use the bread machine for the dough. I haven't had mine long enough to experiment with dough. I'm still trying out different breads. I found a big hit with oatmeal honey bread. We just can't get enough of it. Both of your breads sound yummy. So far I'm not having great luck with wheat breads. They come out so dense. I'll bet you did fantastic! It sounds so interesting. I wish I were closer so I could come see your class. Living with the disease makes you a well informed teacher! I'm sure they benefit more from your teachings than they do from a text book. Hope you have a great weekend. a [ ] bread machine Hi a,I use my bread machine all the time, although I just use it to make the dough and then oven bake 90% of the time. Today I made a loaf of Fluffy Wholewheat and one of Buttermilk/Honey/Wheat. Both are ones I have experimented with recipes and changed them around. Yesterday I taught all day for a doctor downtown. Had to get up at 5am since he wanted us to attend his lecture on rheumatology first. While I was teaching the students upper body,he came in and sat down to observe. Well,I have to say,I was a nervous wreck. This is the first time I have had to demonstrate while being watched by a top rheumatologist. Fortunately I have done upper body a lot lately so I don't think I screwed up too much. Hugs June
Guest guest
Glad you like it. I want to try your wheat bread, but I keep making the honey oatmeal. We just love it so much that I can't keep it in the house. The light wheat sounds really good expecially since it isn't heavy. The first recipies I tried in my bread machine was wheat breads, and all 3 recipies were dense and heavy. I was ready to bring the machine back until I tried the honey oatmeal. It's just so nice to have fresh warm bread with less than 10 minutes of effort.
