Guest guest
Welcome Stacey & ALL newbies! I'm sorry to not add all your names. Believe me, you are *warmly* welcomed! Hello! I am 33 and was dx'd at age 13 with JRA and I am now in my 20th year. I also have fibromyalgia. Been on most of the drugs mentioned on this list. Am currently on Prednisone, Arava, Remicade, Ultram, Amitriptyline, Vicodin, Paxil. Vits and iron, folic acid. Didronel. Ask me anything. I am glad you found us here. I know without a doubt you will love it here. I can't say enough good about everyone here, one word describes us, family. Don't worry too much about your son, I have found kids to be absolutely wonderful with me and my RA. He will do fine. You can also find activities to do while you lay on the couch or in bed. Like, hook up a nerf basketball hoop you can toss from the couch and he can fetch the ball. Make a sticker book together. I don't have kids myself but I have watched friends kids a lot and they love me and we did these things together. The sticker book can really be a special thing! The little boy I did that with wouldn't let his Mom help him with it, he said this is for me and Rainy. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. Anyway, it isn't " what " you do together that matters. It's the fact that you are " doing together. " Don't forget, kid movies and cartoons are esp good, you can sneak in a nap without them really knowing. just nod and smile and agree once in a while! Even though you can't get up and bounce around they don't notice that when you are having fun with something else. You just have to be creative. Board games where you can lay down would be excellent. Coloring. Gosh, wish I had to kid to play with now! I'm sure Moms here have lots of ideas for ya. Like I said, I'm not a Mom but I do have lots of ideas. This is some of the info you can get from us here besides health info. We are here to help with ALL aspects of your/our lives to make things easier. Also tips on making cleaning easier. If there is anything you have questions about, or need help with, NO question is dumb, ever! We all feel that in order to feel good we have to address all parts of our life. Warm welcomes, ~Rainy [ ] New to group > Hi, > I'm new to this. I found this group through a search on AOL. My name is > Stacey. I am 35 yrs old, divorced and a mother of a 6 yr old.
