Guest guest
Thanks again -- I haven't laughed this much in a long time. Keep it up, Joni, you'll have a huge audience in no time. (SMILES) Tamra Grace--Re: Re: to Joni : Anxiety and OCD-therapy please! Grace Wow-- online therapy for a sense of humor?? Kewl beans, Grace. I've always wanted to be a therapist, but with this life I've had, my patience is running THIN. I'd probably tell my clients: Lighten UP and GET THE % & @!! OVER IT. I'd be BROKE in a matter of DAYS. But honestly, how can I NOT see the humor in my life??? My mother-in-law has OCD, my husband is OCD- in the closet and who desperately needs to have a 'coming out party.' My sister-in-law is STILL living at home at the age of 44 (insert more twilight zone music) and pulls her hair out on a daily basis, but nope-- nothing 'wrong' with her either. My sister has bipolar and when she hits her lows, 'devils' speak to her. My father is an alcoholic and we're a bunch of crazies, my other sister has NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) -and loves herself entirely too much (and is an elementary school teacher *shudder*). My mother was diagnosed as 'manic-depressive' way back in the 70's but denies there's anything 'wrong' with doing barrel rolls in airplanes and bungie jumping in the middle of the night, and taking off with her 29 year old boyfriend to a Kiss Concert-- all at the age of 60+ !!!! So, yeah-- she's perfectly normal, right??? LOL Then, there's my 20 year old 'normal' but highly accident prone son, who, like his mother, has escaped death many times. My ADHD+OCD 18 year old high school drop-out/former honor student and (whew!) my 10 year old son who swears that I've poisoned his morning cereal. Oh! And did I mention that my best friend in California has Multiple Personality Disorder and she's more fun than 20 people combined??? Talk about your 'Barrel of Monkeys!!!' Hey! That would make a great title for my book, dontcha' think? Joni (just call ME plain crazy!) "Life's too important to take too seriously." You may subscribe to the OCD-L by emailing listserv@... .
