Guest guest
Hi all, Sorry I haven't written in a couple of days. Hands were so swollen and painful. I saw the rheumy yesterday. He saw the marks that are still there from the Kineret reaction and was disappointed, as was I. He gave me a depo shot in the butt and is now trying to get my ins to approve prosorba column. Does anyone know anything about this treatment or anyone who has tried it. This scares me terribly. From what I gathered, it is kind of like dialysis, where you are hooked up to a machine that filters your blood for about 3-4 hours once a week for 12 weeks. My younger sister, who is an RN is excited because she thinks this will be the one. She also works in a dialysis unit. I still have to search the net for more info. Did I say this scares me!!! Doc says he has 3 patients who tried it and 1 had good results and the other 2 did not respond to the treatment. I don't know, but I don't like the idea of a machine (or anything else for that matter) draining the blood out of my body, filtering it, and then putting it back. With my luck, there would be a power outage right in the middle of the works. Did I say I was scared of this?!!!! Any info?? Anyone?? Please help. Thanks Stacey
