Ah... so I am not the only one. ::SIGH:: I have been waiting for almost

two weeks for mine. And my insurance won't let me get more than a

month's supply at a time or order it before I finish the last month's

supply. Boy am I glad the doc put me back on the many pills as a

precaution when he heard that Embril was on back order again.

Sorry, Deb!

Any chance that they could move your Remicade treatment date up? Could

you be placed on a cancellation list? I hate to think that you will have

to wait that long in-between, especially since you are having an

increase in pain already. How about giving one of the doctors a call

about this?

I've got to tell you this subject line gave me a big scare - I thought

someone in our group or close to our group died as a result of using

Enbrel. Not that the shortage is any small matter.

Debs I'm really sorry. As much as you've been through and now to add this on

top of

everything else is very discouraging. It really irks me that this shortage

exists in the

first place. Immunex knew there was a supply problem before they petitioned

the FDA to

approve it for psoriasis and AS. So much for the waiting list keeping the

supply available

for those already on the medication. Can your doctor move up your remicade

appointment?

It may be worth a phone call if you tell him how bad you're feeling.

Praying for an enbrel delivery for Debs,

Well, I have now joined the ranks of Enbrel Victims. I called for my refill

on Thursday and was told on Monday after I called on Friday to make sure that

they were not having problems filling Enbrel after the letter I received and

all the publicity that they were now experiencing delays in receiving

Enbrel.....DUH......... My Remicade infusion, barring any complications,

doesn't start until next Thursday and not even at my doctor's office. I have

to go to some oncologist office. I am hoping that the Enbrel has some

carry-over effect, but I am experiencing an intensification of pain in my

hands, lower joints and just about every place else plus a noticeable

increase in fatigue. It will probably be a long week and a half along with

my other problems, but at least I have received some of the Enbrel benefits,

while I know we have other members who have yet to even get their first dose.

I am sorry for carrying on about " poor me " .......

Hope everyone can enjoy this Spring Day with a minimal of pain.

Gentle, tender, angel hugs,

My rheumatologist told me today that until Immunex gets the plant in

Connecticut up and running, there will be shortages until at least

October. Most people I know are having to wait a month or so for

refills. I've been 2 weeks without mine and the choices that he gave

me were the steroid shots every couple of weeks or switching to

Remicade. Needless to say, I'm starting Remicade on Thursday. I think

it will be interesting to see how many RA patients will get fed up

with this bureaucratic nonsense and switch to another more obtainable

option. I believe that they spent their energy trying to get FDA

approval for other uses of Enbrel and they should have concentrated

on making sure that the supply they were making was enough to meet

the demand.

Just my humble 2 cents.

Kim, I'm not on Enbrel yet, but I think you're right on that they should

have waited for FDA approval until they had enough supply.
